Gov. Asa Hutchinson will deliver the keynote address at the Southern States Energy Board 56th Annual Meeting on Monday (Sept. 26) at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers.

Hutchinson is chairman of the SSEB, which is bringing its annual conference to Northwest Arkansas for the first time.

The theme of this year’s meeting is “The Role of States in Navigating America’s Energy Economy.” Gov. Hutchinson chose this topic, according to a spokesman, because of recent and dramatic changes to the nation’s energy supplies and the key role states play in shaping the direction of America.

Gov. Hutchinson will deliver the opening and closing remarks of the conference, as well.

A full schedule for the conference is available here.
