Fayetteville Mens Clothing Store Walker Brothers Coming to Rogers
A popular Northwest Arkansas men’s clothing store is planning to open a second location in a new retail center in Rogers.
Walker Brothers Dry Goods Store is among the new retail tenants slated for Country Club Plaza on Pinnacle Hills Parkway. Construction is winding down on the new center, which was developed and leased by Colliers International Northwest Arkansas.
John W. Cole, who owns the store along with his wife Karen, said he hopes Walker Brothers will be open by early November.
Cole opened his first retail store in 1977, John W. Cole Apparel for Gentlemen, on Fayetteville’s downtown square. In 1997, he moved the store to its current location in Single Tree Plaza on Millsap Road and renamed the business, an homage to two uncles who established the family’s first retail clothing shop in Eureka Springs in 1903.
He said the Rogers store will mean the addition of three full-time and three part-time employees.
Country Club Plaza includes a three-story office building and a 21,489-SF retail building.
The office building is fully leased to tenants Acosta Mosaic Group (50,426 SF), Kraft Heinz (30,432 SF) and Colliers International (4,970 SF).
Newk’s Eatery and B.Lush Salon are already open for business in the retail center. Other tenants who have signed lease agreements to open later are all new to the market — Exclusive Eye, a local optometrist, national studio fitness franchise Orangetheory Fitness and Arkansas-based women’s clothing stores Steamroller Blues (Little Rock and Jonesboro) and Vesta’s (Little Rock).
Alan Cole, principal with Colliers International, said the building has about 1,885 SF available.
