Little Rock firm gets PR contract with Toyota’s truck lift sales, distribution arm
Japanese auto giant Toyota Corp. has named The Communications Group of Little Rock as the public relations agency of record for the company’s Toyota Material Handling USA subsidiary in Columbus, Ind., where the Japanese auto giants distributes Toyota-branded lift trucks and tow tractors across the U.S.
Nearly three years ago, Toyota first celebrated the new headquarters of the sales and distribution arm for the Indiana manufacturing facility where more than 80% of the company’s lift trucks are sold in the U.S. at more than 65 dealers nationwide.
“We chose The Communications Group after a national search and RFP process because they clearly shared our values and unique company culture and they had the most extensive manufacturing and industrial media relations experience,” said Steve Tadd, National Marketing Manager for TMHU. “We are happy to have them on our team.”
Dan Cowling, president of the local PR agency, said his firm was selected through a competitive process.
“Toyota is one of the most recognizable brands in the world, known for their market-leading quality and safety ratings. We’re incredibly honored to be working with their marketing and PR team,” Cowling said, adding that his agency has 29 years of industrial manufacturing specialization.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
