Forty Under 40 Member Named Trustee for U.S. Bankruptcy Court
You’ll get to know attorney Bianca Rucker when we introduce this year’s Forty Under 40 class in the Aug. 15 issue of the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal.
Here’s a teaser we’ll go ahead and share in this issue: Rucker has been appointed a bankruptcy trustee for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Arkansas.
She’ll hang her shingle Aug. 16 under the Rucker Law Firm in downtown Fayetteville and begin taking cases Sept. 1.
Rucker, currently a partner at Wright Lindsey Jennings in Rogers, joins a panel of eight other Chapter 7 trustees in Arkansas, and is replacing Bill Clark, a partner at Cypert, Crouch, Clark & Harwell PLLC in Springdale. He is retiring effective Jan. 1, 2017.
New appointments to the panel are pretty rare. Of the three Chapter 7 trustees in the Western District, Clark was appointed in 2005, Ray Fulmer II of Fort Smith in 1998 and Jill Jacoway of Fayetteville in 1980.
Rucker has been a bankruptcy, foreclosure and commercial litigation attorney for WLJ since 2011.
