Mercy Northwest Secures Land For North Walton Boulevard Clinic
Mercy Northwest Arkansas has acquired 2.4 acres on North Walton Boulevard in Bentonville with preliminary plans to build a neighborhood clinic.
According to Benton County land records, the hospital paid $843,975 for the site, which equals $8.07 per SF.
The property is directly across from a Walmart Neighborhood Market at 1400 N. Walton Blvd.
Grizzly Properties LLC of Frisco, Texas, led by Robert Newton, was the seller.
Mercy spokeswoman Jennifer Cook said the health care organization plans to build an approximately 7,000-SF clinic at the site that will house up to four family practice physicians.
Planning for the building project will begin early this fall. A timeframe for breaking ground has not been determined.
The North Walton Boulevard clinic is part of Mercy’s $247 million community investment plan announced April 27.
In addition to a seven-story, 190,000-SF patient tower that highlights the plan, the expansion includes four new clinics in Benton County — two in Bentonville (north and southwest), one in Pea Ridge and another in western Bella Vista.
Mercy has already acquired land for the Pea Ridge location, paying $348,480 ($5.33 per SF) for 1.5 acres on Carr Street, north of Community First Bank.
Cook said Mercy has not closed on other clinic sites, but that process is ongoing.
As of Fiscal Year 2015, Mercy Northwest Arkansas had 30 clinic and outpatient facilities and 196 clinic physicians.
