Homes Sales, Average Selling Price Jump In June
Home sales rose nearly 8 percent across the state in June, according to a housing report from Arkansas Realtors Association. Also, the average sales price of homes increased more than 6 percent in June.
Statewide, home sales increased to 3,330, up from 3,087, the report shows. Average sales price was $180,264, up from $169,863.
Benton County, which had the most homes sold and the highest average sales price of any Arkansas county, increased its sales more than 17 percent to 628, from 535. Average sales price increased nearly 12 percent to $235,081, from $210,578.
Washington County, with the third most homes sold and the second highest sales price of any Arkansas county, saw a more than 38 percent increase in sales to 400, from 289. Sales price dropped almost 4 percent to $206,835, from $215,088.
Home sales in Sebastian County soared 35 percent to 200, from 148. Sales price was flat at $156,772.
Sales in Crawford County jumped more than 9 percent to 58, from 53. Sales price fell nearly 17 percent to $111,512, from $134,035.
In Carroll County, home sales dropped nearly 27 percent to 22, from 30. Average sales price declined 16 percent to $153,007, from $182,253.
Madison County reported home sales increased 140 percent to 12, from five. Sales price was up almost 24 percent to $137,663, from $111,200.
