Health Care Organization Expands To Springdale, Will Create 60 Jobs
Tennessee-based health care organization WoodRidge Behavioral Care is preparing to launch a psychiatric residential treatment facility in Springdale.
The company is currently renovating space it will lease from Ozark Guidance Center at 2466 S. 48th St. for a 28-bed residential treatment facility, to be called WoodRidge of the Ozarks. It’s planned to open later this fall and provide a combined 60 full-time and part-time job openings.
Mollie Davis, WBC’s director of development and community relations, said the facility will offer psychiatric residential treatment for patients ages 6 to 17.
Phillip Bendall, a current WBC executive, has been appointed executive director of the Springdale location.
WBC operates seven psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment facilities and group homes in Arkansas, Tennessee and Missouri.
In Arkansas, it has locations in Forrest City and West Memphis.
