State Trade Association Honors Top Projects of 2015
Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Arkansas recently honored the state’s top merit shop construction projects during its annual Excellence in Construction Awards celebration in Hot Springs.
The awards program, according to the ABC, is developed to honor innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects and safety programs.
The award honors all construction team members, including the contractor, owner, architect and engineer. The winning projects, selected from entries submitted from across the state, were judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and cost.
Entries were judged by members of the construction management department at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
“This year’s winners were exceptional examples of the outstanding craftsmanship and professionalism that embody merit shop construction,” Bill Roachell, ABC Arkansas president, said in a news release. “This awards program continues to grow every year and it’s wonderful to see such an impressive variety in the entries.
“ABC members continue to be the driving force behind some of the nation’s highest-profile projects.”
The ABC of Arkansas currently has 167 member companies.
