NWA Among Top 25 Areas With Biggest Rental Hikes
The single-family rental market across Northwest Arkansas continues to offer significant opportunity for investors.
That is according to RentRange, a Colorado-based provider of market data and analytics for the single-family rental industry. The company recently ranked the top 25 U.S. Metropolitan Statistical Areas by average rental rate increase for single-family homes between first quarter 2016 and the same quarter in 2015.
Rents in Northwest Arkansas (Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers) rose 11.2 percent in the latest quarter, according to the report. That ranks No. 22 on the RentRange list.
The central Arkansas market (Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway) rose 11.9 percent and was ranked No. 19.
The top three areas with the biggest rental hikes from 1Q 2015 to 1Q 2016 were Naples-Marco Island, Florida; Syracuse, New York; and Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis, Wisconsin.
Florida, with six markets, has more than any other state on the list.
