ASU SBTDC, Delta Cuisine team up for seminar

The Arkansas State University Farmers’ Market will join forces with the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) to hold a seminar, “Utilizing a Commercial-Based Kitchen,” May 14, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Farmers’ Market, 3350 Aggie Road in Jonesboro. It is free and open to the public.

John Auker, program manager of Delta Cuisine Commercial Kitchen and Food Incubator, will discuss leveraging the use of a commercial kitchen to turn home-based operations into efficient businesses. This workshop is an opportunity for food entrepreneurs to learn how to scale up their business and access new markets.

Delta Cuisine, located at Arkansas State University Mid-South in West Memphis, provides food entrepreneurs and small businesses with a licensed, commercial-grade kitchen facility.  According to the website, deltacuisine.org, Delta Cuisine offers licensed space and equipment, professional expertise and technical assistance, and cooperative buying and marketing opportunities.
