Window manufacturer undertaking $6.5 million expansion near Hot Springs
Window Mart, a window manufacturer located in Royal, Arkansas near Hot Springs, will make a $6.5 million investment in its facilities over the next 2-3 years.
Currently employing 300 workers, a press release on behalf of the company does not specify if any job additions will be forthcoming.
Window Mart did say that the project will allow for the purchase and acquisition of land and an existing facility as well as two lots immediately adjacent to the facility to be used for future expansion. Window Mart will also purchase and install four multiprocessing saw systems, two industrial welding systems, new air conditioning units, and new equipment and tooling for its vinyl door and window lines.
All of these improvements will reduce manufacturing waste and byproducts and will greatly improve manufacturing efficiency, the company statement noted.
“Companies like Window Mart that call Arkansas home are what make our local economy thrive. It is important that we continue to support the growth of our existing industry ensuring long-term success,” said Megan Greeson, Economic Development Manager with the Hot Springs Metro Partnership.
Window Mart has been manufacturing and wholesaling windows and doors since August of 1996 in Royal, Arkansas. Covering a 25-state footprint, Window Mart manufactures products at its headquarters in Royal, then contracts to install the windows and doors across the southwest U.S.
“Working with the Arkansas Economic Development Commission and the Hot Springs Metro Partnership, we are excited to announce our commitment to reinvest in Royal, Arkansas with continuing expansion of our manufacturing facilities and new state of the art equipment helping us continue to grow as one of Garland County’s leading employers,” said Window Mart President Robert Tankersley.
