Rogers-based Recycled Hydro Solutions Inc. has fared well in 2016 so far.

Since the beginning of the year, RHS’ primary product, the RinseWell dipper well controller, has been licensed to Ohio-based manufacturer Nemco Food Equipment Ltd., and has received a Kitchen Innovation award from the National Restaurant Association.

The KI awards seek to honor forward-thinking commercial kitchen equipment and technologies that add to the efficiency and sanitation of restaurant kitchens.

RinseWell and the 24 other award-winning products will be showcased in an interactive KI display at the 2016 National Restaurant Association’s Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show, scheduled for May 21–24 at the McCormick Place convention center in Chicago.

“We are honored to be chosen as a 2016 Kitchen Innovation award recipient by a distinguished panel of judges,” said Chris Gilreath, CEO of RHS and inventor of RinseWell. “This really validates RinseWell and Recycled Hydro Solutions’ pursuit to develop smart products that save water.”

RinseWell is advertised as a water-saving device that increases the efficiency of the dipper well, a fixture found in many restaurants, coffee houses and ice cream shops that is used to clean and sanitize food service utensils.

Rather than using perpetually running water, RinseWell-adapted dipper wells circulate water and treat it with ozone.

Armed with a water-quality monitor, the well automatically replaces water when it gets too murky, according to the RHS website.
