LR Regional Chamber of Commerce drops the ‘of Commerce’ from title
The Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce says it’s changing its name to simply The Little Rock Regional Chamber. The renaming effort is accompanied by a new logo.
Graham Cobb, Chief Operating Officer for the chamber, said the name change and new logo are part of the group’s 150th anniversary.
“The modernized logo brings our mission into focus. It reflects a regional approach to economic development, the evolving value proposition it offers its members, and clear, strong advocacy for business and quality of life in the Little Rock region,” Cobb said.
Since its founding in 1866, the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce has undergone many name changes, Cobb said in a news release.
Succeeded by a Cotton Exchange in 1882 and followed by the Little Rock Cotton and Produce Exchange the next year, beginning in 1884, the Chamber spent 20 years as the Little Rock Board of Trade.
Other names have included the Greater Little Rock Chamber of Commerce and the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce of Little Rock/North Little Rock.
