Insurance Department announces recoveries for 2015

The Arkansas Insurance Department’s Consumer Services Division recovered $3,843,969 for Arkansas insurance consumers, Commissioner Allen Kerr announced.
That amount compares to the $3,803,830 recovered in 2014, the department announced in a press release.
“Recoveries” refer to the amount the Consumer Services Division collects for consumers in excess of what was initially offered by insurance companies. The division received 2,455 complaints in 2015 about insurance companies, producers and adjusters and closed 2,290 cases.
