Local Police Bring in FBI to Help Fight Gang Violence

It looks like Northwest Arkansas is all grown up. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is forming a Safe Streets Task Force here to fight gangs and drug-related violence.

In other words, California-style gangs, with their guns, graffiti, and racketeering, had become more than the local cops could handle, mainly in Springdale.

Leave nothing to chance. Call in the Feds. Good idea.

What makes Northwest Arkansas great is its quality of life. The economy is strong, and it’s safe and scenic. But as the region grows, it’s only natural that gangs will multiply. They can’t, however, be allowed to take over.
