Business Journal Hires New Reporter

Bonnie Bauman has been hired as an assistant editor of the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal, it was recently announced by editor and associate publisher Paul Gatling.

“I am very excited to welcome Bonnie to our staff,” Gatling said. “She brings a keen sense of curiosity to her unique style of news investigation and reporting, along with a terrific attitude.”

Bauman joined the Business Journal on Jan. 6. A New Orleans native, she graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts. She earned a master’s degree in journalism from Louisiana State University in 2002.

Most recently, Bauman was a freelance writer for Arkansas Life and a variety of other publications. Before that, she worked in Los Angeles as West Coast bureau chief for Money Media, a Financial Times company.

Bauman has also reported for the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report and The New York Times.
