Newk’s Eatery has eyed a second location for its Northwest Arkansas expansion. The casual dining restaurant recently signed a lease for a new site in the soon-to-be-completed Country Club Plaza retail development in the Pinnacle Hills area of Rogers.

The restaurant chain opened its Fayetteville location in 2014 and is now ready to expand into Benton County.

“We’ve been actively seeking locations in Northwest Arkansas for several months now,” said Jim Lynch, franchisee of Newk’s. “With its close proximity to the Pinnacle Hills Promenade, residential neighborhoods and the professional offices both on site and nearby, Country Club Plaza was a natural fit for Newk’s fast-casual concept and wide variety of menu items.”

Alan Cole, leasing agent with Colliers International for the new Country Club Plaza development, said Newk’s is the first tenant for the new retail center which is located on Pauline Whitaker traffic circle near Pinnacle Hills Country Club. It sits adjacent to accompanying 90,000 square-foot Country Club Plaza office building slated for completion in the second quarter of 2016.

“We’re delighted to welcome Newk’s as a tenant at Country Club Plaza,” Cole said. “Our adjoining office building tenant roster continues to expand and Newk’s will be a great convenience for everyone working, shopping and living nearby. We’re thrilled to have them on board.”
