Steve Womack to Give Keynote at Fayetteville Chambers Annual Meeting
U.S. Congressman Steve Womack will be the keynote speaker next week at the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting presented by Greenwood Gearhart Inc.
The 2015 event is scheduled Tuesday, Nov. 24, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bulldog Activity and Recreation Center at Fayetteville High School. More than 500 business leaders are expected to attend the luncheon to review the year’s milestones and preview what’s ahead in 2016.
Womack, a Russellville native, is a Republican and the former mayor of Rogers. He was elected in November 1998 and served for 12 years.
He was first elected to Congress in 2010 and next year will run for a fourth term representing northwest Arkansas’ 3rd Congressional District.
He faces no major party opposition so far.
In addition to the keynote speaker, the annual meeting also features an awards presentation, including the Lifetime Pillar Award (G. David Gearhart) and the Wes Gordon Golden Deeds Award (Charles Scharlau).
