Georges Inc. Hires Tyson Foods Treasurer as CFO

Springdale poultry company George’s Inc. announced Monday it has hired Susan White as its new chief financial officer.

White spent the last 29 years working in a variety of roles for Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale. She had been vice president and treasurer since February 2013.

 “Carl [George] and I are extremely pleased that Susan has joined the George’s team,” Charles George, co-CEO/president of the company, said in a statement. “Her leadership skills, character and experience in the poultry and food industry will significantly contribute to the high performance of our company and execution of our strategic growth plan.”

White’s career at Tyson Foods began in 1986 as a sales accountant.

“I am honored to have the trust and confidence of the George’s leadership team,” she said. “This is an exciting time to join the George’s organization. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the finance team as we contribute to the company’s growth and success.”

White is a cum laude graduate of the University of Arkansas and is a certified public accountant. She also serves on the board of directors for Northwest Arkansas Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

George’s processes more than five million chickens each week and is one of the nation’s largest privately held poultry companies.
