Fayetteville PR Firm Rebrands
To mark its 20th anniversary, Fayetteville-based public relations agency Mitchell Communications Group announced Wednesday that it is changing its name to Mitchell.
Mitchell is led by founder and CEO Elise Mitchell and president Sarah Clark. They detailed the strategy behind the agency’s decision in a blogpost at the company’s website. The change is being made to reflect a wider range of services the company offers beyond traditional PR.
“We’re telling our story with a new clarity and a new look,” the post said. “In a noisy landscape where volume and hype all too often trumps meaning, we stand for real people, real connections, real impact. This is the essence of who we are. And you’ll see this story reflected in our new website, name and logo.
Along with the rollout of a new name and logo, Mitchell has also launched a refreshed website, which will keep the same address of www.mitchcommgroup.com.
Mitchell was founded in 1995 and opened offices in New York and Chicago in 2013, approximately six months after the company was acquired by Dentsu Network Inc., a Japanese company now called Dentsu Aegis, that touts itself as “the No. 1 agency brand in the world.”
Mitchell’s client portfolio includes Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Sam’s Club, Hilton Worldwide, Procter & Gamble, Tyson Foods Inc. and the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.
The company has 80-plus employees, with approximately 70 of them working from the Fayetteville office. The company also has 40 project engineers working in 12 states.
Mitchell had revenue of $15.9 million in 2014.
