The Iron Yard and Few are teaming up to offer a three-month paid internship and a $2,000 scholarship to one applicant who enrolls in the upcoming session beginning Oct. 19.

The applicant will be enrolled in the Front-End Engineering cohort.

“More than 20 companies are hiring developers right now in Little Rock,” noted Mary Dunlap, The Iron Yard’s campus director in Little Rock. “Not only is this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to get a head start on a new career in tech, but it’s also an indicator of how invested our local tech community is in ensuring we have a stream of talented, created and professional software developers.”

The winner will be judged by The Iron Yard and Few and consists of a 250 word essay explaining what he or she wishes to create with the new skills.

“The continuing education of our design and development community is very important to us at Few,” explained Arlton Lowry, founder and COO of Few. “We try to do whatever we can to provide educational opportunities for people with fires in their bellies and who have a hunger to learn. That’s why we’re partnering with The Iron Yard to provide internship opportunities at our company for their graduates.”
