Rockline Facial Wipes Bring Jobs to Springdale
Prolonging the trend that has made Springdale’s economy one of the most dynamic in the country, Rockline Industries, a manufacturer of wet wipes and coffee filters, announced it is bringing 50 more jobs to its 400,000-SF facility in east Springdale.
The company is reshoring the jobs from Germany and Italy for the production of a new line of facial wipes, a move made possible by a $15 million investment, according to Rockline.
The move is part of the plan by Wal-Mart Stores Inc. to boost domestic purchasing by an additional $250 billion by 2023.
“Walmart has been a great partner for many years and we’re pleased to be working with them to bring jobs back to the U.S.,” said Randy Rudolph, president of Rockline Industries. “Rockline has always been dedicated to helping the communities in which we operate and we’re confident this move will create a beneficial impact throughout the state of Arkansas.”
Rockline, based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, also recently expanded its wet wipe production capacity by purchasing a 240,000-SF plant in Russellville, which in turn allowed the company to expand its facial line at the Springdale plant.
WalletHub, among other things a consumer advocate for personal finance, ranked Springdale 26th in the nation in terms of economic growth, and 10th fastest among cities smaller than 100,000 people. In the last two years, Springdale has seen job creation with South Coast Baking Co., Pratt & Whitney, American Tubing Inc., Banded, and Eco-Tech Consumer Products LLC, among others.
