Haag Brown Announces Springdale Starbucks Development
Starbucks is coming to Springdale.
Commercial real estate developer Josh Brown, a principal of Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate, says construction will begin immediately on a 5,938-SF building at 4224 W. Sunset Avenue, site of the former Joe’s Italian Grill. The restaurant closed in January after a fire broke out inside the building.
The new retail development will have two tenants — Starbucks and Arkansas Dentistry and Braces. When complete, the new coffee shop will join seven existing Starbucks locations in Bentonville, Fayetteville and Rogers.
“We think Springdale will be excited about finally having a Starbucks in the market and we feel like the location will be great,” Brown said, noting the lot’s proximity that tied into a nearby traffic signal at Rieff Street. “We worked the Springdale market for months looking for the right opportunity.”
The development will have a similar architectural design as the Starbucks/Arkansas Dentistry and Braces development on Wedington Drive in Fayetteville.
deMx Architecture of Fayetteville will handle the design work.
Stonebridge Construction of Jonesboro will be the general contractor.
Hank Kelley with Flake & Kelley of Little Rock represented Starbucks in the lease agreement.
