Arkansas WTC Builds Trade Partnership with Nigeria
The World Trade Center Arkansas, headquartered in Rogers, and the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 6 signed a series of agreements to foster trade.
The Memorandums of Understanding enable business leaders, investors, educators and agricultural producers from both areas to explore joint business opportunities, and they streamline processes for Arkansas to do business with the African nation, and vice versa, according to a press release from the trade center.
Arkansas and Nigeria have a shared interest in expanding and developing beneficial business growth and trade. Both are committed to developing sustainable solutions to harnessing resources to meet rapid domestic growth and the need to build a strong educational foundation in Nigeria, according to the trade center.
The signing took place in the Dallas office of Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Texas).
The World Trade Center Arkansas announced it is now beginning negotiations with Nigeria to formalize a trade mission to Arkansas, to further the process of building long-term strategic partnerships.
