Wayback Wednesday: Google Changes History This Week In 1998
September 7, 1998 was a big date in Google history. That was the date that Sergey Brin and Larry Page were handed a check for $100,000, and ever since then, Google has been the major player in the business of the Internet.
Roughly a year earlier (September 15), Google registered its domain Google.com for the first time. While they received the check on the 7th, according to the Google history page, Google filed for articles of incorporation on the 4th.
