Dr. Satish Gaddam joins Sparks Neurology Center in Fort Smith
Dr. Satish Gaddam has joined Sparks Neurology Center located at 1504 Dodson Ave. in Fort Smith.
Gaddam specializes in movement disorders and neuro-degenerative diseases including Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, Dystonia, or muscle spasms, and tremors.
He recently finished a Fellowship in Movement Disorders at the University of Texas in Houston. Gaddam completed his residency in neurology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. “‘You are your neurons.’ That phrase best sums up why I chose Neurology,” he said. “Millions of cells in chains send chemical and electrical signals to decide who you are, what you do, when you feel hungry, when you fall in love, everything. That’s the beauty of neurology.”
In addition to the diagnosis and management of Neuro-degenerative diseases, Gaddam will also perform Botox injections for patients with hemifacial spasm or involuntary twitching of facial muscles, dystonia, spasticity, and chronic migraine headaches. Gaddam also specializes in patient selection and post implantation management of deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s Disease and other movement disorders.
