Matt Kendall has been promoted to executive director of mortgage operations at Arvest Bank–Mortgage Division, and Kathleen Craig has been hired to take his place as director of mortgage production operations, the bank announced Aug. 31.

Kendall, who assumed the new position earlier this year, is now responsible for production operations, vendor management, mortgage information, technology and litigation.

“Matt Kendall has proven very flexible and adaptable to new challenges over his 17-year career at Arvest,” Steven Plaisance, president and CEO of the mortgage division, said in a press release. “I am pleased that he will be able to provide additional senior leadership over several diversified areas of our mortgage banking business.”

Kendall began his career at the Fayetteville-chartered bank as an internal auditor and worked in the IT department before taking on the position of president and CEO at Waco Title Co.

Craig, who has more than 25 years of mortgage banking experience, will report to Kendall. She is based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and has production operations responsibilities in both Tulsa and Lowell, according to the press release.

“Kathleen’s hire brings more depth and experience to our leadership team during a time of increased focus on mortgage processes and regulation,” Plaisance said, in the press release.
