Arkansas-based Pedisand Seeks To Be QVC Sprout’s Big Idea
Arkansas-based startup Pedisand has been announced as a competitor in QVC Sprout’s Big Idea Competition. The competition was announced on NBC’s Today Show on Wednesday morning to a national audience
Pedisand is a hands-free foot file that is ergonomically designed to enable people to remove dead, dry, cracked, callused skin from their feet without the use of their hands. The Pedisand will remove and smooth dead skin while allowing users to maintain ergonomically-correct posture and eliminate wrist and hand stress.
Manicurist Karmen Hart had the idea for the Pedisand when clients would talk to her about how hard it is for them to file their own feet. The product is manufactured by Poly-Tec Molding in Northwest Arkansas.
Pedisand is competing for a chance to sign a contract and a shopping segment on QVC.
The company is owned by Hart and Carolyn Jones. It was recently featured on KATV Jason Pederson’s “Try it before you buy it” segment. Pederson said the product was sold in a few local shops in Saline County.
