Upcoming Hub Events Range From Suds To Science To Superheroes
This coming weekend and the next few weeks will be busy for the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub.
The August MAKE event at the Innovation Hub will be MAKE it Brew on Friday, August 28th from 7-9 pm. The cost is $10.
Participants will learn more about the process of making the best brew of beer.
The Innovation Hub’s web site touts: “We’ll learn about the art of brewing, discover treasured ingredients, explore the science of mash and be privy to some Arkansas brewing secrets.”
The Hub-UB series continues on September 9th with Vic Dreier from Project Lead the Way.
Are you looking for after-school projects? The Hub is where you can find some cool things to do in their After School Workshops.
Tuesday through Thursday from 4-6 p.m. for students age 10-17, the Hub has a different focus each day. Tuesdays are “All About Electricity”; Wednesdays are for Computer Tech; and Thursdays are Fab Lab where students have a chance to apply their new skills.
After School Workshops begin on September 8th.
Finally, members of the Hub will be on hand at the River City Comic Expo on Saturday, August 29th. According to Errin Dean, the Director of Programs and Membership, they will be hosting a space of 16 x 40 and will be “bringing some serious toys.”
I am guessing that means robots and drones, but who knows what else they may bring.
