Tech Trends News: Transformers, Uber and Mark Zuckerberg
TB&P’s Todd Jones rounds up a variety of tech-related news from around the globe.
OPTIMUS PRIME
For fans of the Transformers franchise, you will be happy to know that Optimus Prime has arrived. A physicist known as Ralf “The Mad Scientist” S showed pictures of his latest LEGO creation on his Flickr account. It appears the inspiration for his creation is based on the 2007 movie.
Comic Book Resources and the Escapist Magazine picked up the story and you can almost see geeks everywhere gushing to see the images. There has been no word yet on if Optimus Prime will arrive at the River City Comic Expo in Little Rock this month, but it sure would be cool.
UBER
The mobile app ride sharing service Uber has hit another highlight in its recent announcement that it closed a recent round of funding and is now valued at $50 billion.
The company was able to raise almost $1 billion and plans to expand globally including in India. One of its new investors is an Indian media company and they are set to take on Ola, a ride sharing competitor.

Now we’ll focus on making the world a better place for our child and the next generation.”
The couple have been trying to have a child for a few years and had some heartache along the way.
