Presenting NWAs 2015 Forty Under 40 Class
Each year, the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal has the privilege of honoring 40 of the area’s brightest men and women through its Forty Under 40 program.
It’s an exciting and inspirational time for us. These are the established success stories and the budding business leaders of Northwest Arkansas.
This year’s class features executives from companies of all sizes, including a few from the Fortune 500. There are small-business owners, physicians, law firm partners and mid-level employees who are already making a splash in their fields.
Some of the honorees have overcome difficult odds, some are unsung contributors with years of above-and-beyond dedication, and some excel in managing demanding, high-profile careers, while also making time to engage in giving to the community.
The one thing all 40 honorees have in common is they made an impression on the colleagues, peers, friends and family who nominated them — whether because of their talent, integrity, support for others, impressive accomplishments or strength of leadership.
We’d like to express our gratitude to those nominators. An individual cannot be included in Forty Under 40 unless he or she is nominated, and it’s not an easy task to choose just 40 from the pool of worthy candidates.
Within this year’s class, 17 industries are represented. The marketing and retail industries have the strongest showing, with six honorees from each. Four honorees are in banking.
There are 760 honorees now in the Forty Under 40 program, and the roster includes a number of individuals who went on to have impactful careers in Northwest Arkansas.
This class marks the 19th of its kind.
Congratulations to these outstanding individuals. The best part of Forty Under 40 for our staff is hearing their stories. We hope you enjoy reading them as much as we enjoyed writing them.
Editor’s note: Profiles for this year’s Forty Under 40 class were written by Paul Gatling, Richard Massey, Jennifer Joyner and Robin Mero.
