Northwest Arkansas Business Journal Honors Women in Business
On behalf of the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal staff, I am pleased to present to you the inaugural class of Women In Business honorees, recognizing outstanding Northwest Arkansas female executives and business owners.
Because this was our first time requesting nominations for this project, I wasn’t really sure what to expect.
But I speak for the entire Business Journal staff when I say we were surprised by not only the large number of nominations we received, but also the high caliber. All of the nominees were top-notch, and I want to extend a sincere congratulations to all of you. It made our job of selecting this year’s group all the more difficult.
We ultimately chose these 10 for their leadership, drive and commitment to serving the Northwest Arkansas region. From their professional accomplishments to the energy they pour into their communities, their contributions are many.
The honorees include entrepreneurs who started and grew their own businesses, as well as executives making a mark on some of Arkansas’ largest employers.
I hope you enjoy reading these profiles. It’s a section we enjoyed producing and plan to do again each year.
To that end, we welcome readers to help us choose who gets recognized in the future. Our next Women In Business feature will be published one year from now, but feel free to nominate a successful businesswoman you know right now. Nominations are accepted throughout the year with a deadline of April 2016.
