Marble City Car Show, Speed Challenge & Burnout Contest
The 11th annual Marble City Fireworks Show is a family-oriented fundraising event featuring a Veteran/Military Ceremony, lots of food, live music, kids games, magic show, inflatables for the kids, face painting, and a free fireworks show sponsored by St Clair/US Lime. New this year is a Car Show, Burnout Contest, and Speed Challenge sponsored by Cherokee Casino Sallisaw. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the shows!!
Car Show, Burnout Contest, and Speed Challenge Info
Car Show Registration will begin at Noon in Downtown Marble City. Open Speed Challenge registration will begin at 2:30. Pre-registered Speed Challenge entrants will have first run beginning at 2:00; Open Run registration will be available on a first come basis after Pre-Registered vehicles are done. Burnout Contest registration until 4pm.
The “Speed Challenge” will be an event like none other in Sequoyah County! Beginning at the stop sign, drivers will accelerate up the hill approximately 2/10 of a mile to 1st street. The police department will clock the vehicle at that point and radio the speed back to the emcee at the bottom of the hill. The fastest speed of the day will be crowned Top Speeder! NOTE: Only registered vehicles for the Speed Challenge will be allowed to exceed the speed limit, and only during the Speed Challenge event. Valid Driver’s License and Insurance must be presented during registration; liability waiver must be signed prior to starting. Open to drivers 18 or older.
