Country Star Justin Moore Named Spokesman for Simmons Bank
Country music star and Arkansas native Justin Moore is the new spokesman for Simmons First National Bank, the bank’s holding company announced on June 18 at its annual shareholders’ meeting in Pine Bluff.
“Like Simmons, Justin is a product of Arkansas who’s now receiving national recognition,” said George Makris, chairman and CEO of Simmons First National Corp. “We think he will be the perfect spokesman for us as we expand our services across the region.”
Moore has put out three albums, two which went gold, and has had eight top-20 singles and five No. 1 country hits, including “Small Town USA,” “Till My Last Day,” and “Lettin’ the Night Roll.” He also was named 2014 New Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music awards.
“I’m proud to be associated with an institution such as Simmons,” Moore said. “We both have roots in Arkansas and a deep tie to the people in this part of the country.”
Simmons, which now has $7.8 billion in total assets and operations in four states, was founded in Pine Bluff in March 1903 with four employees and first-day deposits of $3,338.22, according to a press release from the bank.
Moore was born in nearby Poyen. He and wife Kate, along with their three daughters, are currently building a home in Poyen, according to the press release.
