Hart Construction LLC, a full service construction management and general contracting firm headquartered in Searcy, entered the Northwest Arkansas market Dec. 1, leasing space in the North Point Centre office building at 2961 Point Circle in Fayetteville.

Now six months in, the person hired to open that office said the company is poised to build its own building to handle the growth.

“We are looking into building a new office,” vice president of business development Jordan Ligon said. “We should have the lot under contract soon and then start construction. Hopefully we’ll be in the new office early next year.”

Hart’s other offices are in Searcy, Little Rock and Memphis. Combined, they have 36 employees and had gross revenue of just more than $27 million in 2014, the best year for Hart since it was founded in 2003.

“We are trying to be strategic about our growth and focus on projects that we believe we are most suited for and can bring value to our clients,” Ligon said.

Ligon, who leads the Fayetteville office with four full-time employees, previously worked four years as regional director for commercial real estate information source Xceligent Inc. and for five years as associate broker with Irwin Partners.

He said having a local presence to scope out potential deals has paid off.

“It adds a level of confidence for our clients, as well as a service from a convenience standpoint,” he said. “Plus, businesses like to work with other local businesses.”

Tenant finish-outs being overseen from the Northwest Arkansas office right now include renovation of the former USA Drug space in the Evelyn Hills Shopping Center on North College Avenue in Fayetteville. Tacos 4 Life Grill, a fast-casual restaurant based in Conway, is the new tenant.

Hart is also finishing out two spaces in the 29,300-SF Rainbow Junction shopping plaza in Bentonville, a building anchored by an American Taekwondo Association Martial Arts school and fitness center. LaVida Massage and Mathnasium will occupy those spaces.

Additionally, Hart is leading construction efforts for two new tenants in a building at 2012 S. Promenade Blvd. in Rogers — Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint and Joplimo Mattress.
