Longtime Employee Acquires Seeburg Muffler & Brake

Kenneth and Lois Schulte of Nixa, Missouri, recently acquired ownership of Seeburg Muffler & Brake LLC, a chain of four full-service, auto repair shops specializing in mufflers and brakes.

Seeburg is headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, and has locations in Springdale, Rogers and Fayetteville.

The Schultes also bought A-1 Custom Muffler & Brake, which has two Missouri locations in Springfield and Republic.

Combined, the two companies have 22 employees. The purchase was made in the name of KVLA LLC. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Seeburg was founded in 1972 in Springfield by the late Jack Wiser, who expanded the family business to Northwest Arkansas in 1974. His son, David Wiser, assumed ownership of the company in 1987, and launched the A-1 brand two years later.

Lois Schulte has been an employee of both companies since 1994, serving as general manager for the past several years.
