UP With Bat Houses

Up with the Bat Houses. The BSA of Fort Smith, AR to the rescue, from 9am to 3pm at The Learning Fields at Chaffee Crossing. 7300 Gardeners Lane. Fort Smith AR 72923. Six Bat Houses which was built by the wood shop students of Northside High School, for the pollinator conservation project initiated by The Beehive at The Learning Fields at Chaffee Crossing : Honeybee & Pollinator Festival 2014'  Bats are among the major group of animal responsible for plant pollinators and in serious decline due to disease and habitat demise. The month of March when the weather warms is when the bats come out from hibernation and find alternate shelter for annual forage season during which they pollinate plants and consume an enormous amount of night fling insects.
