TiFiber, CycleWood Prepare for International Plastics Showcase
A pair of startup companies affiliated with the Arkansas Research & Technology Park in Fayetteville are gearing up to showcase their technologies at the world’s largest plastics industry tradeshow.
TiFiber Inc. and CycleWood Solutions Inc. will be highlighted at the upcoming NPE: The International Plastics Showcase, a triennial event produced by SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association. It’s scheduled March 23-27 in Orlando.
TiFiber and CycleWood are two of 12 companies chosen to participate in a program that will give startups prime exhibit space at the massive event.
And the more prominent, the better. Consider: Event organizers announced in January that, based on the number of exhibitors thus far, booths will fill more than 1.04 million SF of exhibit space at the Orange County Convention Center.
CycleWood has developed the concept for a biodegradable, compostable, single-use plastic bag to replace the high-density, polyethylene bags currently used in stores.
TiFiber produces and markets titanium dioxide nanofiber products. Potential applications include medical devices and disposables, synthetic textiles and consumer goods.
