Rockfish Takes On Childrens Safety Center Branding Project Pro Bono
Rogers-based digital solutions company Rockfish announced Feb. 5 the recipients of its second annual corporate giving program, and the Children’s Safety Center in Springdale was one of two nonprofits chosen.
The center is a child-friendly, family-centered organization that assists in children’s sexual and physical abuse cases by coordinating the investigation, prosecution process and treatment services, in an effort to prevent further trauma to children during the process.
Rockfish will donate up to $50,000 in agency time to launch a new website for the organization and to revamp the brand, according to a press release.
Safety center development director Emily Rappe said she’d like to see Rockfish help the nonprofit establish more consistent branding, especially among the organization’s annual events, which include the Dream Big Charity Gala, set for July 18, and the Children’s Christmas Train.
Rappe said she wants the organization’s branding to incorporate its signature handprints. There are about 7,700 prints on the walls of the center, and each represents a child who has gone through an abuse investigation and treatment.
It started as a fun way to mark the end of the process and quickly became tradition, providing the children a tangible symbol of their experience while also signaling to children who are new to the process that they are not alone, Rappe said.
Also through the Rockfish partnership, the center staff aims to integrate a ticketing system for its events on its website in order to cut down on fees, and also to make the website more mobile-friendly, while simplifying the process employees use to update the website.
The Children’s Safety Center, founded in 1997, is an independently funded and operated nonprofit organization under the umbrella of the National Children’s Advocacy Center.
