Harrison French Headquarters Awarded LEED Gold Rating
A 45,000-SF office building in Bentonville has been awarded LEED Gold certification, one of the highest awards given by the U.S. Green Building Council.
According to a news release, the headquarters for national architectural and engineering firm Harrison French & Associates Ltd., located at 1705 S. Walton Blvd. in Bentonville, received the designation.
Gold is the second-highest rating a building can earn after platinum.
HFA moved into the refurbished building in December 2013.
Among the green highlights are:
• The space was designed using energy-efficient lighting and HVAC, water-efficient fixtures and landscaping, as well as eco-friendly materials and furnishings.
• Careful equipment and appliance selection.
• HFA diverted 83 percent of construction waste by separating and recycling or reusing on site.
• The addition of the south exterior windows achieved 1 point in the certification process, and also provides daylight and views of an adjacent park.
HFA is licensed in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
