The Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday that EcoVet Furniture is relocating from Springdale to the former Emerson Electric Building on N.13th Street in Rogers, a move that will add capacity for both production and employment of military veterans.

EcoVet, which makes solid wood furniture from the beds of reclaimed semi-trailers, looks to add as many as 50 jobs over the next two years to meet demand from SamsClub.com, IO METRO, and other furniture retailers, according to a press release issued by the chamber. The new location is 219,000 SF. EcoVet expects to open additional locations over the next three years.

“The main goal of our company is to create jobs for military veterans, providing EcoVet opportunities to impact lives of returning veterans from all over the United States,” EcoVet CEO Mike Hagood said.

EcoVet Furniture originally started as SA Concepts, a trailer skirting company, and was purchased by EcoArk in 2013. Hagood now owns and operates the company under the EcoVet Furniture brand.
