Baldwin & Shell Hires Mica Strother As VP For Marketing And Business Development
Baldwin & Shell Construction Co. has hired Mica Strother as vice president of marketing and business development. Scott Copas, president and CEO of Baldwin & Shell, made the announcement on Friday.
Strother, who previously served as director of appointments for Gov. Mike Beebe, will implement a new sales and marketing program for the Little Rock-based full-service construction company as it expands into new markets.
“We’re thrilled to have Mica on board as we enter a new phase for our company. Her experience and skills in development and networking, in addition to her deep knowledge of Arkansas communities, passion and proven work ethic made her the perfect fit for this new position,” Copas said. “Mica’s reputation throughout this state as a hard-working professional of impeccable character and integrity is well earned and a great fit for our company.”
Strother has a deep background in fundraising and political consulting having most previously served as a finance director for Beebe’s gubernatorial campaigns. She also provided fundraising consulting for Sen. Mark Pryor and gubernatorial candidate Mike Ross.
Strother serves on the board of the Arkansas Cooperative Baptist Fellowship as well as the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty. She also serves as a board member for City Year Little Rock and Youth Home. She is currently one of five gubernatorial-appointed members of the Arkansas State Claims Commission serving a four-year term and is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association.
She received her bachelor’s degree from Ouachita Baptist University and her doctorate of law from the William H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
