Scott Crossett was a stockbroker working in Rogers when he became acquainted with Cameron Smith through an outside business venture.

The more they talked, the more it became clear to Crossett there was a real opportunity at CSA, a corporate recruiting firm known as a go-to source for placing talent in a variety of positions within the supplier community in Northwest Arkansas.

Crossett, who received a financial management degree from the University of Arkansas in 2001, joined CSA in July 2007 and his intuition proved correct. He was promoted to partner five years later and received CSA’s Outstanding Performance Award in 2014.

Crossett is also the founder and author of The Bentonville Report, an online newsletter that focuses on the retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) market in Northwest Arkansas.

Learning about different businesses is what he enjoys most about work, and the same can be said of his leisure pursuits,  said Crossett, noting the three endeavors he is attempting to learn this year — speaking Spanish, playing the harmonica and repairing small engines.

Crossett is an avid sports fan — his .356 average and 60 hits led the Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team in his junior season of 2000 — and serves on the Razorback Foundation “A Club” board of directors

He is a frequent speaker to local groups about the supplier community, and lives with his wife and 2-year-old daughter in Bentonville.
