Little Rock-based Bank of the Ozarks is adding three branch locations to its network in Northwest Arkansas.

Ross Mallioux, president of BOZ’s Northwest Arkansas division, said the bank will soon put out bids to construct new buildings in Fayetteville, Springdale and Siloam Springs.

“We feel like it’s time,” Mallioux said. “These are sites we’ve owned for several years and we’ve just been waiting for the market and the banking environment to improve, which it has. Northwest Arkansas has substantially solved its problems of the crisis of the last several years.”

The branch locations will be on Joyce Boulevard in Fayetteville, at the southeast corner of U.S. Highway 412 and Gutensohn Road in Springdale and at the intersection of U.S. Highway 412 and East Main Street in Siloam Springs near the Hampton Inn.

BOZ currently has two locations in Fayetteville and one in Springdale. As of June 30, they had combined deposits of $40.7 million, according to the FDIC. The bank does not have an office in Siloam Springs, but it will be the sixth bank doing business in the city once construction of the new branch is complete.

In the two-county area, as of June 30, BOZ had 10 branch offices with $150.8 million in total deposits, according to the FDIC.

BOZ has 89 offices in Arkansas.
