Pfeffers Hires New Chef, Will Offer Pick-Up Meals
Chef David Lyles recently joined Pfeffer’s Gourmet Catering in Rogers.
Lyles came on as both executive chef and equity partner, now owning 20 percent of the company, owner Dwight Pfeffer said.
Pfeffer said Lyles — former executive chef of River Grille steakhouse in Bentonville and also The Summit Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma — will help Pfeffer’s up its culinary game.
“Our recipes are stick-to-your ribs, man that’s just good food, cookin,’” he said, “but Chef Lyles is a big, big talent who is classically trained.”
The company plans to expand its offerings to include wine-pairing dinners for small groups, and in January will begin offering Friday night pick-up dinners.
Pfeffer is also doing work with the Culinary Arts Foundation, a scholarship organization founded in the name of his wife and former Pfeffer’s chef, Juliane Pfeffer, who died of cancer in January. Plans include an upcoming benefit concert sponsored by afternoon radio program 3B Radio of Fayetteville station KXNA-FM 104.9
