J.B. Hunt Named Military Friendly Employer for 9th Consecutive Year

Lowell-based J.B. Hunt Transport Inc. was recently ranked seventh in the nation for G.I. Jobs’ 2015 Top 100 Military Friendly Employers, the company announced Thursday.

J.B. Hunt ranked third within the transportation industry, and it’s the ninth consecutive year the company has made the list, according to a press release from J.B. Hunt.

Hunt, said in the press release. “Our nation’s veterans excel at J.B. Hunt, where their strong leadership skills, experience, and moral integrity contribute greatly to our company’s continued success.”

The company also recently expanded its veteran outreach, launching an initiative that aims to hire 10,000 U.S. military veterans by the year 2020.

The G.I. Jobs organization has published the Top 100 Military Friendly Employers list for the past 12 years. Collectively, the businesses on the 2015 list hired 150,000 service members or spouses of service members, during the previous 12 months, according to the press release.
