Growing Logistics Company Expanding in Bentonville
A growing logistics company in Bentonville has recently moved into newly constructed headquarters in the Westpark Square addition just off Arkansas Highway 102.
Confluent Limited Co., which does business as NWA Courier, built a 6,000-SF office/warehouse development at 1360 S.W. Westpark Drive.
The company had been leasing space nearby at 1302 Melissa Drive, sharing space in a building with Northwest Arkansas Classical Academy charter school.
NWA Courier founder Adam Hughey acquired the lot in March for $99,000. Northwest Arkansas Community College was the seller.
Oelke Construction Co. of Rogers was the contractor for the building, using a permit valued at $498,000.
NWA Courier, founded in 2004, serves same-day shipping needs for customers in Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma with a focus on time-sensitive logistics, specifically with medical specimen and small part transportation services.
The company also stores critical components for the technology infrastructure surrounding Northwest Arkansas.
The company has nine local employees, a 350 percent increase in the last two years.
“Employees are the driving force behind the expansion,” Hughey said. “Utilizing the University of Arkansas by hiring graduates and students has been a boon.”
Hughey said the company’s revenue was $1.2 million for the 12-month period ending in October, a year-over-year increase of 5.8 percent while the focus has been on the new building project.
“Once we get settled into the new facility, sales efforts will be our next immediate focus,” he said.
