Well-Crafted Combination

Rick Barrows, president of Springdale company Multi-Craft Contractors Inc. and all-around champion for local entrepreneurship, has struck up a partnership with Rogers-based Recycled Hydro Solutions.

You may remember our reporting in a previous edition about RHS owner Chris Gilreath and his invention, RinseWell. The former restaurateur is dedicated to developing products that conserve water in the food service industry, and it started with RinseWell, a redesign of a utensil-sanitizing fixture called the dipper well.

Barrows personally invested in the company, and MCC will help build prototypes for a national beta launch tentatively set for April.

When Barrows heard about RinseWell “I thought it was right down our alley, right in our sweet spot,” he told Whispers, referring to MCC’s work in stainless steel fabrication and electronic controllers.

Barrows was initially impressed by the quality of Gilreath’s work and research, which included a University of Arkansas study published in international scientific journal Food Control that showed RinseWell cleaned better than traditional dipper wells, in addition to saving a substantial amount of water, a purpose he says gives the product broad appeal.

“I was stunned by how many gallons of water were wasted through [a traditional dipper well],” Barrows said. “It’s something that seems to be so simple, something we might take a little bit for granted.”
