Beauties and the Beads will be held Friday, November 7 in the Gardner Center of Ozark First United Methodist Church at noon. Doors to the event will open at 11:30 am and will feature a luncheon, style show and silent auction of jewelry and accessories. Tickets are $25. Keynote speaker will be Ashton Campbell, Miss Arkansas. Campbell says her platform focuses on higher education, including colleges, universities and vocational-technical training. She says education is an effective way to end the prevalence of poverty. Daren Bobb will emcee. Proceeds will support Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Crawford, Franklin and Sebastian County.
