Tolbert: Former Opponent Heading Up ‘Educators For French’
A press release alerts me to a new group formed called “Educators for French.” Although the name sounds like a group organized to advocate for teaching French in high school alongside Spanish, it is not. C’est dommage!
Rather, it is a group of educators supporting French Hill for Congress. The group is headed up by State Rep. Ann Clemmer who finished second in the Republican primary to Hill.
“French Hill understands the importance of education to Arkansas’ future and that classroom hard work leads to success in life. French Hill supports educators and will fight for our children. Children need both devoted parents and dedicated teachers working to give each child the education they deserve. Our state’s future depends on this. French Hill is committed to fighting for our state, our teachers, our kids and their parents,” said Clemmer.
Normally a Republican endorsing a Republican is not much news, but Clemmer ran a spirited primary against Hill referring to him in one ad as a “fancy fat cat.” It looks like they made up. Tres bon!
